Purpose
To bring the people of Taupō together to advocate for urgent, strategic action on climate change within our district.

Objectives

Networking and Support: Create a place for collaboration on climate action amongst like-minded people.

Community Engagement: Raise community awareness and motivate action on climate change.

Influence Policy: Engage with people and organisations in the Taupō District who can contribute to achieving the nationally required 2030 and 2050 emission reductions.

Local Action: Promote initiatives that are relevant to the Taupō District, to help us transition away from fossil fuels, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and adopt more sustainable energy sources and practices

Enrich Biodiversity: Support and promote land-use and biodiversity initiatives that contribute to more resilient communities and ecosystems.
